I think it’s true, because you only get one shot at a first impression. I don’t know, what happened in the process of writing and publishing the book, but it seems to me, that more than one person was sleeping while proofreading it or was incompetent to press the right buttons to publish a book that contains screenshots without JPEG artifacts.
My hope is, that the number of errors in the text are getting more infrequently and the writing style of Malik is keeping me focused on the content of the book, as those horrible images are really distracting.
Speaking of content. Tomorrow I will confront my team leader with the system requirements for the SharePoint 2010 development machine. I am very curious about what he will say.
